Before your Boudoir | Las Vegas Boudoir Photographer

Here’s a few Before Your Boudoir Session tips that can help keep your mind at ease! My goal when you come into the studio is to feel empowered and prepared. That way you can be as relaxed as possible and get the biggest confidence boost ever.

First tip regarding food:

You want to eat enough to feel full but not bloated. Food equals fuel and lets be honest we all don’t feel our best when we haven’t eaten! You also want to make sure to drink lots of water especially the day before your session. This will help you have that glowy skin!

Again, we all don’t feel our best when we haven’t given it its basic needs!

Movement:

Do some stretching the morning of! Honestly this is good for you regardless of having a boudoir session because it helps with anxiety and remaining grounded! It might be worth it to incorporate it into your morning routine!

Clothing:

Another tip would be to stay away from tight clothing the day of! Most of the clothes leave imprints on your skin so this helps avoid that!

Skin & Nails:

Make sure you start moisturizing at least a few days before your session. Give that skin a nice glow before heading to the studio! Maybe consider treating yourself with a mani pedi appointment! I’d suggest within the same week of your session if planning ahead!

Body Hair:

Before your boudoir session you’ll wanna be thoughtful about body hair. As in - whatever is YOUR preference. It’s all embraced here! If you normally wax - please do so 3 days before. And if you normally shave, you can do that the day before or day-of. Shaving that close to your session helps avoid razor burn and luckily a wax hopefully eliminates them all together! Body hair is very normal but if you’re someone who prefers clean skin, use this timeline to help you :)

Mental Work:

Work on giving yourself positive affirmations daily throughout the month of your session. Or even longer, I promise you won’t regret this one! And lastly, trust your photographer. We want you to get to your boudoir session and feel relieved of stress, so trust us to guide you in the process.

I hope these PREPARATION Tips help you feel confident and excited for your session in the studio!!

Or empowered to book a shoot if you haven’t yet!
